My reward for completing this website is the Rock Band Special Edition video game. I can justify the purchase by saying that it is research for interactive marketing…yeah…that’s the ticket.

WordPress Google Reader Widget
After wrangling for weeks with the default widget.php file to display my Google Reader shared items properly, I finally gave up and went with a third-party solution.
My first effort was KB Advanced RSS Widget, a great widget to enhance the fairly limited RSS options Wordpress defaults. While it worked exactly as advertised, it didn’t solve the issue where the feeds were smushing the article and blog titles together. I realized this must be a Google-side issue but a quick web search brought me to the WordPress Google Reader Widget. You can see the results in the sidebar. Perfecto!
Why is this important? Because I have no original ideas ;) Google Reader is where I derive all of my information about the world. Now I have a platform (here) and an application (the widget) to share all the news I believe is interesting.
